Long life antifreeze contains an organic acid and can be either ethylene or propylene based. You can mix regular antifreeze with long life, just so long as the base is the same, however this will negate the long life of it. The strength of long life antifreeze can not be tested with the conventional bulb density tester, it must be tested with a refractometer. Antifreeze that is not green in colour is most likely long life. You can not mix ethylene based long life antifreeze with polypropylene based long life antifreeze.
