Hi Scott.

You take good pictures. While its always difficult to provide relevant recommendations within a forum such as this, good & clear photos sure make it easier.

You have a number of things going for you, it appears you have a reasonably good stand (despite being small) and good moisture (for the time being, anyway). Considering both of these factors, plus the $10.00 (+) wheat prices, there are lots of opportunities to push yields and profits higher.

OK Bullet is average from the tan-spot resistance perspective, but when combined with the heavy wheat residue in close proximity to the emerging wheat, it really puts it under pressure.

You don't have sufficient canopy density to fully utilize a foliar fungicide yet, but if moisture continues, I would strongly suggest the application of a 1/2 rate fungicide at Feekes 4-5. Keeping the plant healthy and free from disease is important at (and around) these stages because the plant is making major decisions with regards to the maximum number of grain sites initiated. Any physiological stresses (such as leaf damage from flat fan applied liquid N and foliar diseases) frequently cause yield losses which cannot be reversed.

How much N have you on the field already? It will need an application very shortly if you don't have some down already.

Good Luck

Phil N
