Thanks for the update and picture of later infection. The leaves look suspiciously similar to stands in some of my past wheat fields. I shall watch more closely this spring to compare the continuous wheat with wheat drilled into other rotations. Our wheat hasn't broken dormancy this spring, and in fact is becoming more dessicated with the end of the snow cover. Poor thin stands with poor rooting have me wondering whether it would pay to treat wheat with poor yield potential, even with $10 wheat. | |
