Subject: RE: Cornstalk dirt?

Dirt that is left in the rootball and doesn't wash out with rain, is then picked up with the platform and is wearing out the clean grain elevator chain and builds up on the yield monitor pressure plate.

The drill will usually lay the stalks over and not tear them completely out of the ground, thus leaving them in the perfect angle to slide right in the platform.
