Subject: Re: Wheat straw value

East Palestine, Ohio (Columbiana Co.)
Ed, see straw prices over 170$ per ton, around here, at weekly auctions. We're sold out already . Sold all out of barn @ 3.00 per except for one customer we deliver to for $3.50. Figure to follow fuel/fert/chemical price leads and increase price to help cover cost increases this year. Could be a tuff increase to sell as I read Ohio increased wheat acres from 8 to 10 million acres this year so likely to be plenty of product around...........unless you can convince everybody to chop back into field~>(!?!

Still along time till July........be interesting to see how short straw gets..............
Have a good one ........The Dumb Farmer
