Subject: Re: grinding round bales

Chilliwack, British Columbia
On our 4x4 silage bales, I cut one end of plastic off, place the bale on that edge. Done morning before I need it. When I do need to feed, I cut the rest of the plastic off, and pull the net off. Use the bucket and dump the bale into the mixer. After all the forages are in, put the spear on and grab another bale for tomorow.
Not sure if your machine is self loading or not, but this may work for you. Copied it from a neighbour who has been feeding rounds in a mixer for many years.
Good luck,
Glenn
