I put in a Petersen concrete model from Iowa and have been very pleased so far. I think the key with any of them is the site prep work. Put it on a concrete pad with about a 4" rise for 12" or so all around the base. keeps the manure out of the waterer and let's you level and really seal the base. insulate around the outside of the riser near top and put a heat tape & insulation around water supply line for insurance. Look at the newer model Petersens with the black plastic cover. Has worked well even at 15 below zero f 2 wks ago. They all need good prep work. jmho. Jim at Dawn
