Quincy, IL | The other morning I had a cow have a calf. Everything great, calf nursing, cow ate corn and hay. When I went back later, the cow was dead. I looked her over, and saw afterbirth hanging out her mouth, so I pulled it out, was at least 3 ft long. I have seen many cows eat/or at least try, to eat their afterbirth over the years, but Never heard of one choking to death. Anyone else ever saw this happen before??
