Boone/Hendricks Counties, IN | $6 a bale in NCIN...frost took half of the first cut, second cut about 25% off...third cut a little light due to lack of rain, but not too bad...close to norm on the fourth cut...in fact it rained enought toward the end to gamble a fifth cut...I didn't. Still a lot of folks short on hay this year. Of course we sold a bunch right out of the field so I never saw $6 per small square. I hear southern IN took it hard this year and also the ads around Indy are saying $7-8 small square. |
