Ed with the rain and cooler weather, they should really take off.  Ray Weil from UofMD says these babies like cool air temperature and warm ground (which is why they don't do well in spring planting).  Also, it will take a good cold spell,28 degrees or so, several days in row to kill them so they should keep going for a while!
