I fully realize it's always a "here" thing.

I'm not doubting you, but can I ask how you determined that you had a yield loss on your farm? Or-did you plant both narrow/wide rows?

2 trustworthy neighbors here planted 30" vs drill (10") rows in beans this  yr & checked yields. They did this on purpose, not by accident. I believe they both adjusted pop accordingly, I certainly know that one of them did.

One reported identical yields. The other reported 3 bu/A more w/30" rows. Neither sprayed 2x & they both had clean fields. I did see that. Neither had fungicide apps either.

I'm not suggesting that anyone plants any other row width other than what they want.
