Same thing with DPL 117 in Middle TN. We are on the edge of cotton production, so when we can find a quicker maturing variety we jump all over it. Last year 117 was excellent, but we had a good growing year.
The end of July it looked like 2+ bale cotton, but 20+ days of 100 degree heat and no rain really hurt it. I am guessing it picked around 400 lbs (gin tickets not back), and honestly I am suprised it made that much because it looks terrible. | |
