Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!)

I had to archive those pics in my "strange ag pics" folder, pretty funny.

In a year of stress, you can really learn how to farm, can't you? You learn what varieties to plant, and not to plant.

You know, you really don't learn much about how to farm in a good year. While you may learn some things that WILL NOT work, don't think you have learned what will work.

DP117 may indeed be one of those high and mighty runners that excels in a 3,000 meter race, but slows way down in the 10,000 meter race and barely finishes. To boot, if in the 3,000 meter run, he can't do as well if it's a little bit too hot....

I've seen varieties of different crops over the year that, in the abscence of stress, could really really yield high, above some of those with some tolerances bred in. You let a little stress from cool weather, nematodes, compaction, pests, or dry weather set in, the ones with the bred in tolerances perform better. Your DP117 is probably like that, more of a fast sprinter than a distance runner....
