Subject: Ideas for worn out hay field

I have a hay field that is about 28 acres and wore out. My plans are to take it out of hay production for the next several years. The soil test are good with all nutrients in the good range. It is slightly rolling. The third cutting will be baled off today, thin but it is hay. Now to the question, what is my best option to convert to crops. Would it be possible to burn it down and no-till wheat into the old fescue/ orchardgrass or burn it down this fall and again in the spring if needed and plant beans. I would like to avoid corn on this farm this next year because of my rotation of nearby farms that will be beans next year (trying to save multiple trips to the same general area). Wheat would be ideal here, large hay barn in the field for the 08 straw then d/c beans (?). I guess what I am asking would it be ok to burndown sod and go to wheat or should I look at beans in 08 and then wheat? TIA and sorry for the ramblings.
