| Yes Bill. I was thinking carb and wrote hydox for the 0-0-30. I have seen and used (played with) the anhydrous KOH, experimenting with different blends. We switched to 0-0-32 Pot Carb. Normally, I would mix 3-18-18 with 0-0-32 and NBN or Urea or in some cases UAN to come up with certain mixes. When I say hot mix, I was reffering to neutralizing acid with ammonia. Some of the blends we make would actually have a negative heat of reaction. The tank would get a nice coat of ice on it. I believe 16-4-4 will do that if memory serves. This type of fert is not sold for row crops or at least shouldn't be. Too expensive. I don't "buy" the chloride and ortho issue sold by Nachurs and others. Hooey.
I haven't witnessed a problem with poly and pot carb in the beaker test, but I'll take your word for it.
BTW, were you affiliated with Moyer & Son in Souderton, PA?
