Subject: Corn Moisture and Dockages

Northwest Missouri
Need some other brains to walk me through some calcuations...If for instance an elevator is charging $.76 for 25.5% moisture corn, the dock would be $760 per 1000 bushels. Simple enough, but is the amount of extra bushels you are selling as simple as 10% (15.5 - 25.5) or is there a shrinkage factor I'm not considering. If it is indeed this simple, is then the dock on $3.00 corn actually $460 per 1000bu when you factor 10% more corn (100bu x $3.00)? Thanks in advance.....
