Subject: Re: wheat infurrow ?

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
Lately I've been applying 8 gal. of 10-34-0, 4 gal. of 32% N and a qt. of Tra-fix to give me 1 # of zinc and some other micro nutrients. We used to just apply 10-12 gal. of 10-34-0 and zinc but thought we needed a little more in to get us to the spring application of N.
This is no-till wheat and I save an application charge over using dry. Also, I think banding the fertilizer has some advantage.
More air drills showing up around here and they are putting the fertilizer in the row also.
On some fields where I need more 10-34-0 we are applying 30# N with the last application of RU prior to drilling then using 10-12 gal. of 10-34-0 and zinc.
