Subject: 8X8 is awfully small pad if you are going to have heifers

Western Ohio
I have build several of these deals over the years. I think 8x8 is to small for beef cows. I like to use 16x16 pads under cattle waters. after all 16 x 16 x 5 or so inches really is not all that much concrete. I also really like the idea of putting the waterer on a 6 inch or so higher pad. Ensures the fella on the skid loader don't screw up. I also like to do these as quick attach so that it is easy to disconnect if you have to do a repair. Sprayer cam fittings are a good idea and much easier to work on things when things will go bad and you need to do a timely repair.
