when were the gilts born and when did you need them to farrow to have the right age of pigs for the fair? A gilt needs to be atleast 7 months and should be no more then 9 mo by the time they are bred. Once you get past 8 months they can be harder to get bred. It might be too late but you shouldn't let them get too fat by limit feeding for awhile while you check for heat and then when you know when they will cycle full feed them (flushing). Ideally bred on second noticed heat,but for your purposes that isn't a big issue.

Depending on age it might be time to make some stresses. Like a trailer ride
