Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49
I bale it dry and net rap it. Around the 1st of June. ( bale )
Makes 4- 5 bales per acer.
Never handle it any other way but round dry bales.
I just planted mine about 2 weeks ago and is up and growing. Some on bean ground and some on corn ground.
Fert. used is 150 pot - 100 map. and plan on coming back with 100pds. of urea. ( 46% nitrate )
I will plant Dessie Teff grass back to bale twice more or if do not need the hay then I will plant too beans.
Still have time too plant yet around here if want to, but might have a hard time finding the rye. If need some check with Amis they us it a lot. I get mine from the Amish at Arthur IL.
