Tim,

Are you making your's wet or dry? We make wheat in wet bales, then plant corn or beans (depending on field/rotation) - cows eat them into the ground. We're going to try rye this coming yr.

Orignal post - Local Vemeer deals says he has a customer who seeds rye on every ac and mows rye hay up until he's ready to plant corn. This feeds his cow herd for the yr. Neighboring dairy makes wet bales (rye and wheat) and feeds them as part of a ration in a mixer.
