KY | Cotman, noticed same trend you mentioned here, just barely north of you. We're making more per lb. by not working our bull calves and just taking them straight off of momma and trailering them. For the last half of this year for us, the tickets show that black is better. If you can get them to gain nearly as quickly, right now, that's where the money is for us. Also noticed I can make more per pound out of 575 than I can 605 lately. Seems that right at 600 lbs the price had a little drop. | |
