Most of the Reed Canary Grass we have here is from the seeding of waterways years ago that has moved down in the creek bottoms where it survives very well. It survives the wet ground very well, but it also becomes invasive and chokes out the other grasses. I believe (my opinion) that it makes the wet ground wetter. Reeds has it's place but I would prefer not to have it.
