Personally I'd rather put the wear and tear on my tractors vs my pic up. Grinding hay was way more efficient and lets you do many more things. Bale beds are ok if your feeding some cows 20 miles away from the hay pile. Just my .02

Unless it's muddy and you're stuck. But much more of an issue in the days before cell phones. :(
