SESD | Just curious on everyones opinion. Most of cows are close to home. We raise silage and also have modified distillers on hand. Currently we grind all our hay and straw and stalks. We have a chuck wagon with scale, so I feel pretty comfortable on what I am giving them and knowing my cost. We dont put up enough hay ourselves the way it is (buy a fair amount). Some people say you can feed cows cheaper with a bale bed rather than running the tractor and wagon and paying all that grinding costs?? Any thoughts? | |
