COLOSTRUM, COLOSTRUM, COLOSTRUM, and MORE COLOSTRUM. If you can buy calves that are fed at least two bottles of colostrum within four hours of birth (preferably within 15 minutes) they will do fine. The best time to move calves is within the first three days when they are protected by the colostrum that will begin to wear off about 10 to 14 days.
Feed only true milk replacers NO soy products. Kept bottles clean wash after every feeding. Have water available by one week of age.
Talk to a vet and set up a program. Do your homework before buying any calves,
