Frankly I think there are a lot more factors involved in creating a tight calving season and quick breed back after calving than whether the cows/heifers are purebred or crossbred.

I know you love your Herefords, just as there are guys out there who love each and every breed that exists. There's nothing at all wrong with that, everyone can raise whatever kind of cattle they choose. But it's a simple fact that whether you're dealing with hogs, seed corn, cattle, or just about anything, heterosis is a very real and noticeable factor and tool, or it is for those of us who choose to use it. I'm just trying to hear some opinions on what other guys think... I already knew your's, lol!
