The #1 way of transmission for johnes is calves nursing..I know your bull would not have gotten it that way..unless he had it when you bought him..which seems unlikely. If you havent seen cows with johnes..i guess i would be suspicious that the bull would have it. But I think I would get him tested...you DO NOT want to have to deal with that disease...
