that depends on herd size. The suggested I have heard recomended is 10 % but again it totally depends on number of animals. Some labs may have pricing schedules like a certain fee for 20 samples, different fee for 50 etc. Might be good idea to check on that first. I don't think there is any magic number, the higher the %, the greater confidence you can have in the results you get.
