Subject: RE: pellet stoves

I've had pellets stoves for 16 years , I always spent the extra money and bought the best . A 1200.00 dollar stove is going to have problems , either they wont heat as well , they will be hard to clean and clean more often .

Lopi , Quadra Fire , Harmon , in my opinion are the best , your going to spend 3 grand or so , but they are well worth it .

You'll have to take the ash pan out mybe twice per ton , but only a full cleaning once a year ,and it ain't that tough .

The house that we live in now has a magnum stove in it ,complete piece of crap , you have to clean the fire pot daily , burns the same amount of fuel as a good stove ,but no were near the heat . I didn't buy this stove ,it is in the house that is provided for us.

We heated a 1800 sq ft house and a 2000 sq ft house with just the pellet stove , 2 1/2-3 tons a year.
