Some heat better w/ a mix of corn and pellets. Of the 2 brands I know much about, they need to be cleaned daily to work properly, which can and does suet up the house. I know the ones w/ motors right on the aggitators had a lot of problems w/ the heat locking up the motors. If you don't locate the exhaust properly, they will stain your siding. They do provide good heat. I have a furnace now that will burn just about anything, but corn gives off the most heat of the options I've tired. Cherry pits are suppose to be hotter yet. Next furnace will be an outdoor wood burner bc the price of pellets and corn.
