Kalona, IA | We got a Maytag with french doors on top with water/ice and freezer on the bottom. We love it. The freezer has slide out drawers on top which which helps keep things from getting buried. Is quite bit more room then our old one as it's taller and a little deeper. We had a limited space to fit it into, 30" or 32" I think. Had to push it in and tight on both sides. We had spent a lot of time measuring the kitchen space but not much time in measuring our doorways. We soon learned that we had a problem and were considering removing some door trim etc. when somebody had the bright idea of removing the fridge doors. You bet, that did the trick and really wasn't that big a deal !! It was the only brand of fridge with the features we wanted that fit into the space we had. One thing it doesn't do is crush the ice. Had it for about 16 mo. w/o any probs. | |
