I have never seen ice and water setup on outside of door that did'nt eventually have a problem.... usually within two years of purchase. Come visit me and I'll show an ice/water setup on the outside that has made it over 15 years with no problem, and it's a Hotpoint side by side. They supposedly are built cheaper. Maybe we are lucky? My mother bought a bottom freezer a year ago and likes it. She has a regular door on top, but her fridge is only 30". Ours is 36", so if our Hotpoint ever dies, my wife has already said she wants a bottom freezer, but the double side by side doors on top. |
