| If you want to haul them, ditto on the cake bribe and portable panel setup. If you don't have enough panels and don't want to buy more maybe a neighbor has some you can borrow or there is a place you can rent panels for a day. But if these cattle are only 10-15 miles from home with no corral setup, I'd probably just trail them and not get the trailer dirty.
Cows don't mind hoofing it on a cool day that is maybe a little brisk for humans. 17 miles from my other place is doable on the shortest winter days. Like someone said, once they get used to it the cows know where they are going. I always hauled in the spring when the calves were small, because they would play out. A calf big enough to be weaned can make the trip easily.
