Hoxie, KS, Northwest Kansas
When i went to school to become an AI technition they told us that you dont really want to turn the cleanup out for 10 days. they said this for two reasons. 1. so that you were sure she was bred with AI or not. 2. they told us that if you get the cattle worked up from trying to load them up on the trailer or a bull chasing them around thinking they are coming in to heat even though she is going out that her brain will actually secrete hormones that will abort the calf. but after 10 days the body has recognized pregnacy and this will not be an issue. dont know if that is true or not but that is what they taught us in school. dont turn a cleanup out until after day 10
