So, it sounds like Shorthorns are not fading away and particularly, there's interest in the Roans, the mother cows are desireable and they make good crosses on several breeds. I have a chance to buy several, 2nd calf Roan cows, running with a Roan bull, with 2 & 3 month calves at side for $1,500.00 per pair.
