New Mexico
say 1,150 to 1,250 just depends on the year.

We won't have those worked till at least the 21st...and might even be 1st week of 011.

Should have an easy 2 to 4 "round" loads of cattle out of there, but never know for sure exactly.

Nature's balancer for sending cattle here to your area in the winter is our elevation.
Cows mentioned run at 8,300 to 9,500 ft elevation so it's generally pretty much like the artic circle too...just like at your house.

This year we were colder than your area in Oct and Nov.
Had plenty of 10 to 20 degree nights then.

This week though, we've been generally warmer than you folks.
Been watching it, cause am into some high altitude pockets of feeder cattle here again.
IF?? I can talk these guys down to reason so to speak on yearlings, they all go your way Marlyn.

Sounds like ALOT of seed corn caps down buying cattle the past month or so, especially in Clovis, NM.

Heard a few cowboys from down that way wondering out loud just WHERE? in the World so many of those funny looking caps are coming from.

Huge share of the Clovis area cattle go to Worthinton MN area.
