Philips back-lit LED-LCD hands down; maybe it's just my eyes. 46" - 50" seat at 5' to 12'. Place so you look up towards it not down at it; they say this approach can limit the effects of glare. The great differentiations LCD vs. Plasma are screen burn-in problems when having static images displayed on the Plasma, reduced life span when contrast is boosted to overcome bright viewing areas, and Plasma uses way more power. Low lighted viewing areas combined with reduced contrast ratio's will lengthen the life span of both type units respectively. | |
