squish - Looks like that "free" meat they always tell me about really costs about 10 bucks a pound.

Ain't that the truth! And considering the fact that they only actually eat about 10 lbs of that tough, gamey tasting crap, it is REALLY expensive! Around here, there are "venison feeds" every year just prior to hunting season. Hunters donate last year's leftover venison and all the old guys who forgot how much they hated eating that stuff go to them. From what I've heard, there is no shortage whatsoever of meat for them. What they don't sell at the feeds, they donate to homeless shelters and make those poor bastards eat it. If nothing else, it is a good incentive for them to get jobs and support themselves! LOL
