First off I know nothing about dairy cows.

Isn't really fine ground corn (pig feed) kind of hard on the stomach of a cow?

I know when I was still feeding a few cattle I had more trouble with foundering if the corn was ground too fine.

I'd think a roller mill to "crack" the corn would be better for cattle, esp dairy cows where longevity is kind of important.
