I've been doing more walking too. Why? I am not sure, just seems to be the thing to do when you get tired of bending wrenches. :)

I haven't bothered to take any yield estimates, they're never very accurate for me. I am concerned with the inconsistency of ear size. Nice ears next to nubbins, has to be as a result of the cold snap in may, way to erratic to be a compaction pattern. Lots of wind damage here also from mid July to take away from the top end. Haven't started harvesting but will know more very soon. I usually try to be a little leary this time of year but I am not seeing record yields in any of my stuff.

From reading here, it sounds like Minnesota has one heck of a crop coming. Maybe they can carry the rest of the cornbelt.
