A 45 days ago we thought 180-200 would be the yield. N leaching is the biggest problem for Illinois farmers but throw in too much rain in early June, way to hot low temps. at night in July and August , compaction from last years harvest, 12 days straight of upper 90's in August is all coming together to hammer these yields.
