our ration mixes were predominately dry mixes and the wettest part was the haylage or silage. Our aprons were only wide enough to drive the feed truck through with a 2 foot addition for cattle to feed from. then we had a ledge over which the cattle reached to get at the feed. Gave something for the loader to scrape against.

I wonder if a slope back to the cattle and then lengthwise to the end of the bunk could cure the water drainage but gain the ability to contain the syrup within your ration...just a thought.
