northwest tennessee | Yes it is and I have done it for about 15 years and have not had a case until this year. I blame it on using the Novartis vacc and going away from the Pilligaurd. The Pilligaurd will chaulk up a syringe but is the best and that is why I used the other since I had not had any in so long. I vacc calves at birth with the Alpha MB also. There has been alot of pinkeye in the area this year. There are also alot of new strains of pinkeye also going around. Some do severe damage to the eye with more swelling and some burst. I dont have that type but some do. For that type you need to culture and get a vacc. made for that strain. | |
