Yes. We buried about a 1/4 mile of 36" culvert to replace an open irrigation canal. One end opened into a pasture. Never worried about it until we had a calf go missing. It had crawled several hundred feet up inside. Had a heck of time dragging it back out, but it was fine otherwise. Had it been in there for very long or had someone turned water into that section it would have not been good though. I put some steel bars through the end of the culvert to keep them out now.
