--most guys raise freezer beef-pork-chicken and sell a few excess---all that you eat yourself is fed farm grains,ect. so you kinda get too have your "meat" to eat and deduct the cost of raising it off your taxes---cost too butcher-freeze-cure hams and bacon on 200 # dressed pork here is about $150 cdn
