most states are triple damages for stepping over the line.. the logger will know this of course. Make sure your damages are based on highest prices for the last five years and veneer quality logs. let him try to argue you down instead of you fighting. Two thousand a tree should about cover it and be done. Unless they are yard trees which make them more valueable.
