Subject: Re: cpvc or copper or pex

The problem I have with cpvc is it getting brittle. I was removing a sink fitting the other day, with a backup wrench, and snapped a cpvc line with virtually no pressure. I got some "shark tooth" fittings, and re-did around the kitchen sink area with pex. It was certainly nice not having to mess with primer and glue. The cpvc in this house is from 1969, and I have this sinking feeling that I should replace the rest of it before I wind up with a mess.
