About 3 years ago took my father to the WWII memorial in Washington DC.  It was part of an American Legion celebration.  The elder George Bush, Prince Phillip and the Queen were there to dedicate some part of the memorial.  It was quite an event for those old soldiers, many of them in wheel chairs.  I don't know what degee of seperation that is, but I was glad to be there with those old guys.
