| My wife does our checking account books for the farm, personal & her business. She is very meticulous about them & won't give up till they balance to the penney with the bank. If there's an error she will check, crosscheck & crosscheck till she finds he error. If she can't find the erroe she will call the bank and won't rest till she finds the mistake, wheter it's us or them. She has been this way since we were married almost 39 years ago.
That said, she has one account that ha been off by 20 some cents for at least 3 years. She has spent hours trying to find the mistake with no luck nor has the bank, their figures for deposits & withdrawls match hers. They have told her to just write it off, FWIW it's in our favor, but every month she will make a notation in her books that it's off xx¢ with the bank. | |
